同学你好,

根据“...a portfolio outperforms its benchmark in any quarter is 0.75”可以得出,Portfolio的performance只有两种情况:1)P(outperform)=0.75;2)P(not outperform)=1-P(outperform)=0.25。这是只有两种结果的伯努利变量。

根据“the portfolio outperforms its benchmark in three or fewer quarters”可知,需要做多次( three or fewer)上述的伯努利试验,多重伯努利试验服从二项分布。

进而代入二项分布的公式解题即可。
